Okay, as requested in comments, an excerpt from HEART OF STONE has been posted at cemurphy.net.
I’ve been fiddling with the web design over there because I’ve had people email me to say IE, mostly, I think, didn’t handle the stylesheets well. It should be better now, but if anybody has problems let me know.

That was actually a lot better and more engaging than I thought. I had been kinda thinking “Hmm..original idea…but will it be good?” but the teaser was an excellent choice and I can’t wait to continue on with the story. No offense, I was just pleasantly surprised how easy it is to slide into your writing style…I started the Walker papers under the same impression, so I shouldn’t be surprised. I am looking forward to it!
