Hahah! Angie is so cool! She suggested Matsutake as a name for the dog (Shiitake having the obvious nickname problem), and I think Matsutake is perfect, ’cause the puppy is from the Mat-Su (Matanuska-Susitna) Valley! Hahah! I think the animals have just defeated me in a battle of wills, or something. The puppy (Shiitake, she sayd tentatively) was snorfling around her food dish looking pathetic and hungry, so I filled up her bowl. Doing this made Zilli come runrunrunning into the kitchen. Rather than deal with Zilli eating the dog’s food and then pooping icky poop all over the house, I filled the cats’ dish, too. Maybe, she said, pathetically hopeful, if they’re all free-range and have enough to eat, they won’t eat each other’s food…
accomplishments
Things I have accomplished today: yoga. walking the puppy. eating breakfast. fixing some bugs. showering. Things I have not accomplished today: making bread. writing up my review process stuff for work. Hm. Looks like I’m ahead so far. Making bread isn’t that much of a bother, except I have to wash the bread machine thingy, which is why I haven’t gotten that far yet. Shiitake
We think we have named the puppy! We think her name is Shiitake. Because she likes hiding in cool dark places, but we thought Mushroom wasn’t a good name. :)
