We are mostly moved into our house. Things are still extremely disheveled, and I think it’ll be quite some time before we get everything re-sheveled.
I hope the kids on Ben’s new bus are nice. He’s in the same school as before, he just has to take a different bus.
When we brought them to the house on Saturday, Hope and Sif were initially terrified… Sif responded by immediately prowling around growling at everything. She was temporarily trapped in the basement – she was exploring downstairs when the furnace came on. It kinda rattles, and the stairs go right by it. She overcame that pretty quickly, though, and now roams at will. Hope crouched on my chest and shook for about a half hour then did her own prowling.
The plan for tonight is (I think): Paul will be backing and forthing with the last of our stuff, and I will be unpacking and getting things put away and set up. My parents are coming for Christmas and they arrive on Wednesday, so the kitchen needs to be ready to go in two days!!
We need to set up the tree, buy more stocking stuffers, make a menu and grocery shop. I’ll schedule time for panicking later.
