Yesterday was my year anniversary since I started losing weight. I’m feeling *extremely* committed right now. I had a dream Friday morning that I was out with friends and somebody offered me a very big brownie, which I ate two bites of because it was too sweet and I was trying to lose weight. (Ok, I then ate one more bite because it had a double-fudge chunk in it and I wanted the Good Stuff, but it wasn’t worth it, so I didn’t eat any MORE after that!) I thought that was a pretty funny dream, actually. Helllloooo, subconscious. :)

Ted is making lasagna tonight. We got 2% cheese where we could (MUSHing has ruined me. I have to concentrate to not type %% every time I want a percent sign to come up on the screen.), but couldn’t find whole wheat lasagna noodles, and, well, generally speaking the only way to not go madly over points with dinner is to eat a v. small serving. I’ll do my best. :)

Looking for a yummy low-points dessert to make now.

  1. A big green salad. I try to have a big green salad with things like pizza so that I can have my pizza but not so much pizza as I might eat normally.

  2. I have a small collection of yummy low POINT desserts:

    1) The two wonton recipes I posted last week (the apple and chocolate-banana ones)

    2) 1/2 cup FF Cool Whip mixed with 1 tsp unsweetened cocoa to make a 1 POINT chocolate MOUSSE!

    3) One apple or pear, peeled, divided in half, and cored. Add 1 tsp butter and 1 tsp brown sugar in the hollow formed by the core, sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg, put into a small baking dish with a little bit of water in the bottom, and bake for I think 30 minutes. It’s one point. Then serve with a scoop of Dreyer’s FF/SF vanilla ice cream for 2 POINTS total.

    4) 1 scoop of Dreyer’s FF/SF vanilla ice cream and a can of Diet root beer–1 POINT root beer float!

    5) No Pudge Brownie made with FF plain yogurt. If you need me to send you a care package of No Pudge Brownie mixes, I can do that. :)

    6) Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies are only 1 POINT per cookie.

    7) A one Tbsp. sized Nestle Tollhouse cookie is 1.5 POINTS. Two cookies would be 3 POINTS.
