whew.

I’ve just put a deposit down on new digs to rent. It’s closer to my parents’ than our current place, right next to a park and to the Botanic Gardens, and has a small back yard for Young Indiana to play in. It’s a little farther away from the main road where Ted catches his bus, but we’re planning to get a car as soon as we can, so that won’t be too much of a bother. We take possession Friday, so I’ll take and post pictures then! God, that’s…

sound-off!

I’ve written about 3400 words today. Unfortunately, the first 900 were the Wrong Words, so although I’ve written that many, only 2500 of them count. This is kind of too bad, because 3400 would put me only one day behind my self-imposed Nanowrimo (Junowrimo), but since 2500 is more than I’ve written in months, I’ll take it. Sound off! These are (from an admittedly biased point of view) pretty rollicking…

novella, my hiney

I closed out the NO DOMINION rough draft a couple hours ago, at 60,438 words. Novella, my hiney. It’s exactly twice the length I anticipated it being, and will without a doubt get longer in revisions. Which I am not going to do right now. I may very well even send it in the wreck-of-a-state that it is in, off to the Major Beta Reader for the project, rather than even do my usual revision pass which at least includes getting rid of the notes to myself and trying to…

rats.

All day long I’ve been thinking of this funny story I wanted to post about, and now it’s the end of the day and I can’t remember what it is. So I will post my wordcount for the month and go flop into bed, and maybe tomorrow I’ll remember to be clever. Febnowrimo wordcount: 31500 / 50000 (63.00%)
