Man. I’ve been working on this grant most of the day and I’m bloody well knackered. It’s…almost done. I gotta print out some letters, and finish my artist’s CV (which feels really difficult to do well), and…that might be it. Then I have to send it back to Dad for the budgetary stuff, I guess. And then I’m going to go bury my head under the covers or something.
Poor Lucy has been wheezy a long time. We thought maybe it was ’cause she was fat, so we put her on a diet, and she lost a lot of weight, but she still wheezes. So (since I got paid and we have a little money finally) we brought her to the vet today, and the vet thinks probably she’s got sinusitis from having bad teeth. She wasn’t very gracious about letting him look in her mouth, but he thinks her teeth are in very bad condition, so tomorrow she’s getting them cleaned, at least, and possibly removed. It would be vastly preferable if she only needs them cleaned, and possibly some removed, so I’m going to have to be quite firm about making sure they inform me as to their condition and what’s necessary. I’m not really looking forward to that. I hope I feel like I’ve got more stamina in the morning. :p
*attempts to cheer brain up* Nearly the entire second issue of Chance is colored now, and it’s looking fantastic. Ardian, who has been very very busy kicking ass and taking names with the Dresden comics, thinks he’ll get to the 5th (and final, for him) issue in a couple weeks here, which means in very short order I’m going to have an entire story arc completed. Holy jeez. I really, really want the first issue all published and in my hands, to have physical proof this is all actually happening.
And you guys are going to die when you see the cover for the first issue, which–the artist said, “I was going for ‘iconic’,” and ZOMG did he nail it. I can’t wait for the finished version so I can get a HYOOOOOOOOGE printout and put it over, like, my bed. :)
Ok, my brain is too tired to be cheered up more than that. I’m going to go lie in a lump now.
