The only thing better than stew: leftover stew, which has had a day to steep and blend and become that much more delicious. Ooh, you say longingly, how could such a meal be improved upon? book & haus update
The astute amongst you have noticed (I know, because you’ve mentioned it) that I rather abruptly stopped blogging about the book a while ago. The *particularly* astute amongst you may have noticed that I said I’d talk about it more when it was less depressing. It’s not especially less depressing now, but at least I’ve found my way. I think. I hope. There’ve been a variety of difficulties in writing this thing. One that was comparatively easy to recognize was that I’d introduced a character who made things too easy…

Well, I’ve determined to my satisfaction that it’s not that I’m in swell condition beneath the blubber, it’s that the dance teacher isn’t working us very hard (and when I say “us” I mean “me” :)). I went to the gym with my ballet and tap shoes, and had myself red-faced and sweating inside of ten minutes, so…yeah. :) Yesterday, after hanging out with and son for a while, Ted and I stopped at The Corn House (I think) on Cornmarket for lunch. It clearly thinks it’s Quite Hep, but…
