horked net.

My net connection is *utterly* horked today. This is especially frustrating given that I’m trying to respond to colorists. As usual, I’m pretty astounded at the talent that an ad at digitalwebbing brings up. Once more, where I expected talented (or not) amateurs, I’m getting responses from pros and people bordering on pro-quality. It’s both exciting and nerve-wracking, because it’s no fun at all to look at a great colorist and say, “No way I can afford him.” OTOH, it’s sure worth trying. I think I walked about 500 miles…

movie meme

Nicked from . A. Pick five films you enjoy. B. Don’t post their titles, just a relatively well-known quote from each. 1. “Okay. If that’s the way you want to play it. ow.

My shoulder’s acting up. This has become enough of a rarity to be actively offensive to me, nevermind painful. Don’t know if it’s from carrying groceries the last couple days or from sitting on the couch doing my galleys for PHOENIX, but ow. I should probably, like, take some aspirin, huh? Galleys are going well. Just a matter of typing them in now, really. This is the first time I’ve focused on, “Huh, can I change this line around a little in order to get rid of the orphans?”, which…

*Well*.

I am Ms. Spammy Poster today, but this is News of Significance, so I’m writing about it even though I have Very Little Idea what it means, mostly. There’s just been email from Harlequin regarding the Bombshell imprint. To wit, that the imprint has been cancelled as of January 2007. (It’s not performing well enough, in short.) You know that big long posting about the ridiculous number of books I had under contract that I did a few days ago? The one titled, “4 down, 6 to go”? It is…
