Discovered the Best Snack Ever today. 2oz shrimp, 1c mushrooms, sauteed in 1tbsp whipped butter and garlic. 3 points, and most of that comes from the butter. I think tomorrow I’ll use nonstick spray and just a smidge of butter for flavor, and add some kind of cajun spice, if we have any. We might have a mexican blend, which would do, too. Also, if I cut down on the butter I can bulk up on the mushrooms, which you can have four cups worth for one point. *laugh* I probably won’t bulk up that much. :)

I am *not* feeling thin this week. These lower-point days toward the end of the week help (although I’m hungry right now, raar), but I think generally speaking if I use all my APs and all my flex (and, ok, granted, some more beyond that this week too) I don’t lose weight. I expect I’ll die of the starvation when I go down to 20 points. OTOH, that time is not exactly approaching rapidly at this rate. I said to myself today, “Self, if you lose 2 pounds a month, you’ll be at your goal in 6 months.”

Myself said, “AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH TOO LONG” in return. Sigh.

Bed now, before I eat anything else.

  2. When you get to the point where you go down to 20 points, you will be fine. Consider, the amount you are eating now is far fewer points than when you started. The other day you were remarking that you remembered a time when you could’ve happily eaten twice the ice cream, for example, and still gone for more, but that the amount you’d just eaten was too much. :)
