This morning, while reading an article about Tina Fey’s wildly successful Sarah Palin impersonations, I came upon the line “It’s the court jester’s job to make fun of the king.”
This, *obviously*, triggered “You can have no idea how happy I was you had come to make music for me again,” and now, god damn it, I cannot re-read that book until I have done today’s work, and I am sullen and sulking about this.
On the other hand, I know what I’ll be doing with my evening. :)
Yesterday’s thinks to do list has become today’s, too. I did a fair bit of work yesterday, but didn’t actually finish any of the things on the list.
– work up a handout for the “developing your writer’s voice” class (in progress)
– ideally, although not as critically, also create handouts for
» visualization class
» dialog class
– print out the submissions for critique
– review at least one of them
– print out WALKING DEAD, while I’m at it
