I’m blogging today over at Simply Romance Reviews. I also got name-checked in a Library Journal article on urban fantasy, which makes me quite happy. Walked down the canal until I reached the end of the walk today. It was the first time since leaving Alaska that I’d been on a walk that actually felt like it had some element of wilderness to it. It’s nothing at all like the coastal trail in Anchorage or anything (and, y’know, there are horses and cows along the trail instead of moose and…

lifestyle changes
All right. The deed is done; now I will talk about it some. A while ago I talked about living in and fitting into Ireland, and the attendant difficulties therein. We’ve been trying to come up with solutions, and have made at least one decision that we think is going to help quite a bit: we’re moving to a much less expensive town (*much* less expensive: we’re talking very literally nearly twice the house for half the cost). thank you!
Thank you all for birthday wishes! It was a very nice birthday. Ted got me a couple books and a DVD I wanted, and put them in a very silly bag that sings a birthday song. I told him we’d paid lots of attention to him last year when he broke his leg, and that Lucy hadn’t hissed at *him*, but he doesn’t seem to care. Anyway. Things are getting better. We’re going up to Longford tomorrow to visit my…
lucy update
Lucy was scheduled for a dental with no extractions, which meant they had to talk to me if they were going to do anything else. And the very nice man doing the cleaning did call me, and said that when the tartar was removed her roots were exposed on the upper teeth, and that he felt she would heal better and not need to go back in a couple months to have them extracted if he did the job now. So after talking to him I felt that I was…
