Well, Zilli broke two toes clean through and is in a cast for six weeks or possibly more and is extremely unhappy, but, as the vet said, also very lucky. He’s lugging this little cast around and meowing, and he’s not supposed to go up and down stairs because he could knock the cast loose. We need a baby gate. Well, Mr. Z is at the vet’s, where his poor lil’ foof is going to be X-rayed, because it was too tender to be able to tell whether there was something broken through touch. Yesterday it struck me that the Strongbox Chronicles might make a good quick read. I think that’s the first time I’ve ever actually had a genuine impulse to read one of my own books.
