P-Con IV report!

What a fantastic weekend. :) We got up to Dublin Friday night, found some dinner somewhere (oh, at Elephant & Castle), then headed over to the hotel to see who was about. Quite a lot of people were about, in fact, though and were on their way out, so we only spoke to them for about two seconds (that seems to be a recurring theme, somehow). However, in those two seconds, Pádraig volunteered me for the 10am “Just A Minute” quiz, because was coming in later than expected. (He’s very…

off for the weekend

Ted and I are going up to Dublin for PCon this weekend. I don’t even know if we’re bringing the laptop, much less whether we’ll have net access, so there may be radio silence til sometime Monday afternoon. Dana envy :)

Mom’s borrowed the Dana so she can take it into the National Library and transcribe baptismal records, which you’re not allowed to photocopy, photograph, or make printouts of from the microfilm. So she borrowed the Dana, ’cause it’s much faster than handwriting all those records, and apparently numerous people at the library have admired it profusely. :) It’s a very nifty little tool. :) Ooh, Ted’s doing the yoga dvd. He’s a better person than I am. …*agh*. Okay, that is the *first* time I’ve ever seen a major news…
