Resurfacing to say I’m blogging over at Paranormal Romance today. Young Indiana is very interested by this: *periscope down*

My dad took up wood carving recently, and has made a variety of cool things over the past couple years. This one, however, which was my birthday present, goes way beyond cool and straight into ‘heartstabby and sniffly wonderful’: That is possibly the best birthday present I’ve ever gotten. :) It’s sycamore, and I’m not sure I’ve properly captured how beautifully the wood gleams, and I’m not sure it’s possible to capture how very, very smooth the finish is. It’s just *beautiful*.

In the “it never rains but it pours” department of major life changes, it looks like we’ll be moving to Dublin in the next few weeks. Ted’s gotten a job there, and a commute from our current location is out of the question. (He’ll be doing X-Box tech support; the hours and pay are better than chefing!) However, as moving is expensive and we’re caught a bit flat-footed financially in the face of suddenly needing to, I’m doing a “help Kit and Ted move” novella (in all likelihood, anyway, as…
