Gah. I just had a perfectly horrible moment where I looked at the numbers and thought I still had 40,000 words left to write on this book. Then I realized I was subtracting the number of words I’d written this month from the total necessary, rather than subtracting the total words written from the total necessary. The 10K difference there is rather important.
The first number, by the way, is 70,000, and will be 73K by the end of the day. Nanowrimo is for weenies*, and 70K in April is why I will not be participating in Maynowrimo.
