Last night Ted made grilled chicken sandwiches on foccacia bread with a garlic aeole and grilled sundried tomatoes and onions for dinner. And roasted potatoes and green beans. It was *insanely* good. InSANEly good! He was very disappointed he forgot to put the feta cheese on the sandwiches. We told him it’d be okay if he just made the meal again. It was *really* good.
It turns out I have one size 10 pair of jeans and one size 8 pair of jeans, because I can’t read, or something. The tens fit just fine. I’m not dumb enough to try the 8s on and get depressed about them, though. I seem to be going down a jeans size about every 10 pounds, so with any luck in another couple months I’ll be brave enough to try on the 8s and see if they fit. I would really, *really* like to buy 8s for summer shorts and stuff. That’d be cool.
It’s windy out. That means going for a walk is going to be cold. *sulk*
Do you grill the chicken and then put it on the sandwich, or grill the whole sandwich? Or maybe grill the chicken, then put it in the sandwich and grill it some more?
What’s an aeole?
(Laura and I have been talking about cooking lately, so I thought if I could surprise her with food that I can actually *make*…)
I grilled the chicken on our electric gridle and sauted the onions and sun dried tomatoes. An aeole is a flavored mayonase, this one had garlic and lemon juice as the primary flavors. Mostly garlic as the lemon juice was part of the emulsifiying process more than flavor.
I think I can do that. Thanks. :)
you must feel so springy and light, miss catie! that’s great. :) i mean, you’ve lost more than breic weighs. if i had been carrying HIM around for a long time certainly it would feel good to put HIM down. :)
