I’m on holiday and have been doing a reasonably good job of not working. I’ve been reading a lot. I have, in fact, exceeded my yearly reading goal by several books already! Go me! And! Yesterday I cleared off my at-home desk, which was emotionally very good for me. And!
…no, that’s about it. I’ve been watching the entire MCU Captain America storyline and am up to Falcon & Winter Solider now, though I haven’t started it yet.
But, as I said before, part of being on holiday is teaching my husband how to do a great deal of the admin for my self-publishing stuff, which, again, yes, I understand that’s not much like time off but it won’t get done if I have to do it during ‘work’ time, so this is the compromise.
I’d done the bulk of writing it out a couple months ago, but I’ve just moved it into another format and good lord. I’m sort of horrified at how much there is, and I haven’t even written out 3 of the 5 things yet! The two I’ve done are by far the most involved, but still, even with just the two, it looks HORRIFYING.
On the positive side, it’s caused me to really go “ah, oh, I see” about why it takes up so much of my time. I mean, I don’t think I’m any happier about it, but…it’s perhaps lent me a sense of perspective. Which I think we can all agree I need. :)
