After finishing the revisions yesterday I took the rest of the day off, and went to see “Penelope”, under the logic that it would be charming and wonderful. It was. I adored it. As some reviewer said, Christina Ricci, even with a pig’s nose, is still awfully cute, and so was the movie. It even had a twist I didn’t expect, which was pretty cool for a frothy sweet little fairy tale. :) *And* I *also* finally got a command performance! That was the first time I’d ever actually been…
aaaaand it’s off!
HANDS OF FLAME revisions have been turned in. (Now if they would please pay me *right now*.) After the absolute unmitigated sheer *hell* of writing that book… …I quite like it, actually. I have figured out how to answer one mystery that had been left unresolved by the…
*vaguely amused*
I had a dream a couple of nights ago, the only bits of which I remember were 1. standing amongst literally thousands of fallen books (specifically SF/F books. I recognized cover art), trying to slog my way…well, to the bathroom, I think, because now that I think about it a lot of my dreams were revolving around going to the bathroom, thanks to an over-full bladder. But anyway, staggering and slipping on books, trying to work my way through them. When I woke up I thought, well, *that* didn’t need…
thank you for your concern :)
It is (truly, no sarcasm) very kind of everybody who’s told me that Amazon (and Fictionwise, and previous to this, Barnes & Noble) have got the wrong book data up for HOUSE OF CARDS. I’ve told my publishers, and they’re working on fixing it. That’s about all I can do, except pass on my thanks from my editor, who is laboring under the impression that I’m really on top of this stuff, when in fact it is my good and true and loyal readers who are on top of it…
