not bad, mark ii

Sheer exhaustion sent me to bed around 10pm last night, and consequently sheer wakefulness got me up around 6:30 this morning. This combination, plus a bit of sheer bloody-mindedness, got me 8K today. I have another hour, technically, before my writing day is officially over, but my brain was already wearing out 1200 words ago, so I think I’m going to just take my 8K and go home. Or something. not bad.

7400 words today. I should go re-sign-up for Novel in 90, which I totally flamed out on when I hurt my hand (otoh (heh), I in fact blew away the 67,500 word expectation with my 119.1K in the first 3 months of the year), but quantum willing and the creek don’t rise (and if I can keep this productivity rate up), I will finish this book a week Friday, and not start another one until (drumroll please) … MAY FIRST! …I think I’ll go fling myself in a pit now.…

I have a bunch of P-Con stories I want to tell, but I need to get away from the computer, and I fear that by the time I’m willing to come back and blog a lot I’ll have forgotten them. a splendid weekend!

It was a splendid weekend. We trundled up to Dublin and got checked into the hotel, which gave us a very nice suite (which included its own water feature, as expounded on later), then met my parents for an early dinner.
