This is not going as well as I might hope. I’ve spent much of the day deleting what I’ve been writing, or playing solitaire. Usually if I play this much solitaire it means I’m doing something wrong, so, okay, I’m doing something wrong. I just can’t figure out what to do right. *brainstorms with and at least figures out what I’m doing wrong* *sighs and goes to delete some more* miles to Minas Tirith: 119

hm. book launch party?
So Ted and I are planning on going to World Fantasy Con this fall (Nov 1-4 in Saratoga, NY), and it strikes me that I have a book coming out in November. I wonder if I ought to get one of the party rooms and throw a book launch party? Hm. Hm. Hmmm! Well, it’s something to think about, anyway. :) Writing proceeds apace, or aplot, or something. That’s got to count for something, right? *laugh* I got paid this week (calloo callay!) and accidentally bought myself some birthday presents. (“Did Ted get some birthday presents, too?” my mother wondered, and yes, he did. :)) I got a 2G MP3 player which is most importantly a flash drive, which means there are no wires for me to lose. Also, it’s purple. Can’t go wrong with purple. :) I also got 100,000,000 Bon Jovi…
yessir, we’re having fun now, we are
Yeah, we’re sure in the “exciting life of a writer” stage of this. All I’ve got to talk about is revisions–which is to say, I did indeed end up completely rewriting another chapter in order to accomplish the same thing it used to, except with a different ending–but I’m feeling like I’m accomplishing things, so that’s good. Apparently that’s all I’ve got for now. Man. o.O ytd wordcount: 74,400 sekrit number: 5.5 miles to Minas Tirith: 111
