charmed :)

Ted and I just came back from watching “Music & Lyrics”, the new Hugh Grant/Drew Barrymore movie. Now, basically, I think you can’t go wrong with a Hugh Grant romcom, and if you can overlook Drew’s frequent bad taste in costars, you pretty much can’t go wrong with her, either. So I was predisposed to like it, but I in fact found it *completely* charming and smiled all the way through it, except the parts where I laughed out loud. more shopping o.O

We went forth today and bought a car, more or less. It had no spare tire, the passenger side window didn’t roll down, and although it was advertised as having a radio, it didn’t. We told them to fix those things and fill the tank and we’d buy it. quick note before bed

No doubt it’d be better to wait to post this until tomorrow, so I’d have something else to say besides BOOTS!, but if I’ve nothing to say tomorrow you’ll all just have to languish in the silence of the Kit. The boots *fit*! The Cavalio riding boots and the Cadiz homina homina homina boots came today, and both pair *fit*! They not only fit my calves, which I expected, but they fit my fat feet, which I didn’t really think there was much chance of. I put them on wearing my regular ol’ socks, figuring maybe if they ALMOST fit in those they’d fit in nylons. But I could actually *wear* regular socks and it’d be fine. With *both* pair! Both pair zip up, which isn’t actually evident from the…

Via Boing Boing, a miracle fruit that alters your sense of taste so that sour things become sweet. Dood. I *want* one of these plants. The reason I don’t eat oranges is they’re too sour. If I could nibble a lil’ froot that would make them sweet I’d like them! We have a room for PCon. Yay. Not on site, but a room, so all is well. Rapid and enthusiastic discussions in comments have brought to light the point that the Irish are extremely random with their T’s and TH’s,…
