small weight update

Unlikely as it seems, despite how very, very badly I’ve eaten the last week, I’m down a pound. I think this is all I’m really going to say about it right now, because it doesn’t appear that stating goals in a public (at least more or less) forum actually makes me stick to them any better, and may in fact be causing me to rebel against them. So just a small weight report this morning. current weight: 158 goal weight: 157

I don’t feel good this morning. This is *probably* because I waited too long to eat breakfast, and probably also because the first glass of water I had this morning tasted like soap (I guess the glass hadn’t been rinsed well enough, or something), but it’s all making me want to just go back to bed instead of doing anything productive. Maybe I’ll let myself off the hook and have a write-until-2pm goal instead of a 5K goal. Which means I should get back to it. *sigh*

This is the problem with writing a book: my daily posts become about nothing else. Although I must say I’m enjoying walking down to Cobh to walk home with Ted after work very much; not only does it get me out of the house for sure, but it gives us some extra time together that we wouldn’t have, ’cause after having had him around for several months I kinda miss him during the day! I have a date with that very fellow this evening, in fact. We’re gonna watch Pirates…

In an homage to the Jasper Fforde character who is beleaguered by poorly constructed sentences, while I was out walking the dog today, a man drove by in a car wearing Stetson cologne. Frankly, the fact that I could smell and identify the cologne so easily leads me to feel that insisting the vehicle was indeed wearing it is not an unreasonable thing to do. I gave up. I got to 5200 words and nominally finished chapter eleven (and have less nominally officially hit the 1/3rd mark, YAY!), but I know that the truth of the matter is that tomorrow I’m going to have to go finish this scene, which really finishes chapter eleven, and it’ll turn out that *everything* I wrote earlier today as chapter 11 is going to be chapter 12, which will be nearly finished once it’s been cut and pasted into place.
