very cheerful and very smug :)

I am cheerful and smug this morning. :) I got this nifty calendar for Christmas, a 12 months of chocolate calendar that has recipes. I didn’t get to make last month’s dessert yet (a honey walnut chocolate torte) due to lack of proper equipment. This month’s recipe, though, was heart-shaped chocolate breakfast scones, to be served with strawberry jam and whipped cream. girlfriends’ cyber circuit

A month or so ago I got the opportunity to join the Girlfriends’ Cyber Circuit, a blog-related promotional tour for other women writers. Target points: 22 Points used: 28 Activity points earned/swapped: 3/3 WPA used/remaining: 5/4.5 Tomorrow just spells doom for me, doesn’t it? Blast and damnation. Target points: 22 Points used: 42 Activity points earned/swapped: 1/1 WPA used/remaining: 19/9.5 Very hungry day. As you might be able to surmise. Worst part is I could eat more. No, the worst part is I want to make some goodies on Valentine’s Day, and while I can probably make it through tomorrow without burning any flex points, if I make even /one/ goodie, it will explode the remainder of my points, and if I make two like I wanted to there will be endless doom. Hell and blast. But…

Some of them are totally wild uninformed guesses, because who ever sees the best animated short films, or whatever. If I get a chance to see more of the movies before Oscars night, maybe I’ll do this again. :) Best Picture: Brokeback Mountain Best Director: George Clooney for Good Night, and Good Luck. Best Actor: Philip Seymour Hoffman for Capote   (I really hope Heath wins, though.) Best Actress: Reese Witherspoon for Walk the Line Best…
