We are in the Ceremony Room of Doom. Calliope and Evelyn, being unavailable this week, have mysteriously disappeared (although they’re technically there). Summerset, being available this week, has appeared in their places (and technically always was). :) Alice: Is there anything in this room that draws me to it? Any images of my queen? Summerset: WHEN DID ALICE BEGIN TO REFER TO HER AS ‘MY’ QUEEN? Me: In the past session or so? Summerset: THIS SEEMS VERY BAD. DM: There is something that draws you, Alice, but it’s an image…

Call of Cthulhu: Down in the Underground
When last we saw our heroes, they were returning from a side trip to Memphis. In our absence, Teddy, Freddy, Evelyn and Calliope had a side adventure and then went out and got properly smashed at a drag king club, the name of which is escaping me, somewhere in Cairo. This all went as well as you could possibly imagine, and they returned incredibly hung over. Teddy and Dr Willie Preston met for the first time. It was most excellent. Tragically, they then parted ways, Teddy to nurse a headache…
Call of Cthulhu: Pour One Out For Dillon
I was sick the last two gaming sessions, and in my absence, Our Heroes gathered a lot of information, and…lost a hero. Dillon, who if you will recall from the end of the England adventure, came away with compromised lungs, was caught in a cloud of icy lung-sucking horribleness, which worked as advertised, and killed him dead. Of the various players and DM, it appears that Ted (Dillon’s actual player) was the only person even KIND of emotionally prepared for this possibility, and even he was a little rocked by…
Call of Cthulhu: Egypt Beckons!
Despite my pleas, we did not stop Mask of Nyarlathotep to play Horror on the Orient Express as we traveled ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS from Paris to Constantinople (not Istanbul). To Evelyn’s crushing disappointment, her (gay) fiance Freddy finally managed to get the party that they’d been hoping for sorted out, and she had to LEAVE before she could party with the Bright Young Things. Freddy, Betty, and possibly Margaret* will follow us later, when they’re recovered from their fun. (*Margaret: a sudden NPC brought on by Evelyn moaning, “I’m…
Call of Cthulhu: Albion Ends!
It was a dark and stormy night… We, disguised as cultists hiding in Edward Gavigan’s bedroom, simply open fire on the cultists below. Dylan (whose name, it turns out, is actually spelled Dillon) hits Gavigan with a shot from his (Dillon’s) elephant gun for 14 points of damage, which of course he just gets up from because he’s full of monster power. Dammit. Teddy opens fire with a Tommy gun, doesn’t do NEARLY as much damage as he hopes, AND jams the gun. Fortunately, Calliope turns her mechanical repair to…
