4500 words today. I would dearly love it if I continued at this pace all week, but even if I don’t I’m very pleased with the last couple of days. And I made myself cry with a scene today, so I hope it has the same effect on other people. :) I have done pilates and gone for a short walk today. I think I might go for a longer one after dinner, because it’s beautiful out. ytd wordcount: 133,300 miles to Minas Tirith: 197.5

do/do not
Things I did not do today: Pilates. Things I did do today: walked 3.5ish miles and wrote FIFTY EIGHT HUNDRED WORDS. *flexes mightily* ytd wordcount: 128,800 miles to Minas Tirith: 196
tipping point x2
A couple chapters turned out shorter this week, so I ended up with 7 instead of the anticipated 6 or the acceptable 5. And this morning I had the “Gee, I think there’s too much story to fit in the room I’ve got left for the book” moment, which is usually a good sign. I have inched past 200 pages, and am about a thousand words from 50K. Nearly halfway done. Nearly 19K written this week. It is time for a Weekend. And for the weekend we’re going in to…
word wars FTW!
Word wars for the win today! I was up early and got 2500 words written before noon, and then had an unexpectedly good word war afternoon and did another 1800, for a total of 4300 words today! *boogies* That puts me at 189 pages, so I should reach my goal of 200 pages tomorrow without much trouble. We might go watch a bad movie tonight. *cheerful* :) ytd wordcount: 119,600 miles to Minas Tirith: 183.5
milestones!
Milestone after milestone today. One: I hit the tipping point. Tomorrow’s chapter is 100% Bonus Chapterage. Two: I hit 25K on the book. In fact, I broke 26K, but it’s the 25K that’s statistically significant. Three: I hit 100K words for the year. Also, bizarrely, I wrote exactly the same number of words today as I did yesterday. I don’t remember ever doing that before. ytd wordcount: 100,300 miles to Minas Tirith: 170.5
