yessir, we’re having fun now, we are

Yeah, we’re sure in the “exciting life of a writer” stage of this. All I’ve got to talk about is revisions–which is to say, I did indeed end up completely rewriting another chapter in order to accomplish the same thing it used to, except with a different ending–but I’m feeling like I’m accomplishing things, so that’s good.

Apparently that’s all I’ve got for now. Man. o.O

  1. That looks just like my psychokitty, even the “leave me alone, I’m sleeping” pose. Have a good weekend.

  2. This might sound extremely strange, but I accidentally picked up your book “Thunderbird Falls” in the bookstore a few weeks ago, realized it was the second one and made a mad dash to pick up the first and became completely engrossed in the characters. Especially the Joanne-Morrison almost-but-not-quite-there-but-really-should-be-there relationship.
Needless to say, I am really enjoying your work. Now that I see that your fourth book is not due out for awhile, I may take my time reading the last twenty pages of “Coyote Dreams”!

Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for the engrossing story and I understand the whole re-write and finally feeling accomplished thing. After months of banging your head against a keyboard you finally produce something that is, essentially, a better form of what you wrote before, and you just feel amazing. Or quietly proud of yourself. :)

  3. Well, the fourth book in that *series* isn’t due out for a while. There are a lot of others coming out in between, though. :)

I’m delighted you’re enjoying the books, though! Thank you for letting me know. *beam* That always makes the whole thing worth it. :)

*laugh* Was it an accident because you picked up the 2nd book instead of the first, or was it an accident because you meant to pick up, I don’t know, Sun Tzu’s THE ART OF WAR and somehow ended up with THUNDERBIRD FALLS? :)

  4. lol – weeellll– I’ll be honest, it was an accident that I picked up the second one *and* an accident that I even picked up a book at all that day. I had promised that I would try to relax on the book intake (because while I don’t think I have a problem, my boyfriend has evidence that contradicts this point).

Alas, alack, it was my birthday and that promise died as soon as I decided to walk into the bookstore (as most of my promises do). So I was skimming and saw the book, read the back , was hooked and put it in the three book pile-up in my hand (then once finished with one and two of The Walker Papers, went to hunt down the anthology and the latest book).

Besides, I’ve already read bits and pieces of “The Art of War”, no need to revisit :-D
