Mnnghg. Sleepy. Went forth this morning to walk, but it was two particular kinds of unpleasant, so I only did a mile and a smidge. But it cleared up this arternoon, so we walked to the store to buy milk and packing tape, so I did about four miles today despite myself. Seeepy.

I even wrote a tiny bit today! 1600 words, which is a far cry from the 20 pages I was touting earlier, but hell, I wrote, which is something, at least. :)

Regarding a 2-week challenge: I think my inclination is to start next Monday. Of course, if I start having 5K days tomorrow I’m not going to complain, but starting next week kind of gives people a chance to get their ducks in a row if they want to play along.

*laughs* You want to talk about a small, small world: this morning I went to read an interview with HQN editor Leslie Wainger at Riding With The Top Down, a romance authors’ blog, and the top photo on the interview page made me stop and stare.

Because it looked real damned familiar.

I sat there staring at her photo for like half an hour trying to decide if we’d talked to her or if she just seemed familiar because it was TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE that we could’ve been in the same place at the same time and not. *laugh* Small small world!

ytd wordcount: 3400
miles to Dunharrow: 54

  1. Only on a writer’s blog could you ask “5K challenge? Is that words or kilometers?” Glad you got stuff done despite of yourself today. :D My day is just starting and I’m hoping to do as well.

  2. hey there!

sounds like things are going great with you. Since meeting you in Belfast I have been writing! I managed to finish NaNoWriMo, and lately I’ve been trying to write about 3k words per day – sometimes I go over, sometimes under, and I tend not to write much on Saturdays, but it’s coming along. I’ve learned a lot!

I hope Ireland is treating you well – I miss it over there! I’m back in Canada and sitting at our cottage amidst a snow flurry, watching my 3 year old play with his trains.

    all the best!
