#bemused I’m throwing a solstice party, the Birthday of the Unconquered Sun. Some friends suggested I open a Skype channel or Google hangout on my smart TV so people in the US and Britain could call in. It immediately got out of hand, and somebody said I should try doing an all-continents party, excepting, we presumed, Antarctica.
Only then a friend of mine turns out to know somebody who’s on The Ice *right now*, and so Antarctica will be calling in (or at leat sending on a photo!) to the Birthday of the Unconquered Sun. And look, you can’t get much more unconquered sun than the South Pole on the 21st of December. FURTHERMORE, a friend in North Pole, Alaska, will also be hosting an Unconquered Sun party the same day, and that’s about aas *conquered* as the sun can get (unless I find somebody in Barrow to host a party), so look, people, I’m not about to let my side of this down.
So I need Asia, Australia and South America and Africa, lads. Who wants to help throw an international party?
If anyone is willing to cover the cost of a plane ticket, I’d be more than happy to host from any of those locations. ;)
