hoooongry

Man, I have just got the raging hungries today. This may be a week’s worth of paying attention to what I eat catching up, but jeez o flip, whatever it is, HONGRY! Dinner was an hour ago and I’ve just had a snack and more water, so I’m hoping that’ll hold me for a while. Sheesh. And now I’ve got an apple at hand so I won’t go hunting for other stuff.

Not that there’s much other stuff in the way of junk to eat. We’ve got some potato chips, but they’re mostly Pringles and I don’t particularly care for Pringles. I got some of those WW carrot cake slices on ‘s recommendation (and they *are* *surprisingly* good), and have been using those for treats (I just noshed two of them, actually, but at 1 point apiece I figure I’m not doing myself any significant damage), but other than that the snack food in the house is grapes and apples. I did get some yogurt yesterday to try, and -.O *shudder* I still don’t like yogurt. -.O I have popcorn if I wanna make that, too, but I don’t like to make it when Ted’s home because the smell of popcorn gives him a headache.

So my “off sweets” thing seems to have adjusted for the territory. No gorp, no chocolate chips; ok, I’m using little carrot cakes and raisinets instead. The carrot cakes, especially, do a number on my brain. I definitely think I’m getting more goodie there than the calories account for. So that’s nice. :) I’m not suffering, anyway, and I’ve even been to the store twice, where I could easily pick up a treat and have Nobody Know About It. Except me, of course, and as Mom said when she taught me how to play solitaire, “Sure, you can cheat, but the only person you’re cheating is yourself.”

This weekend, or whenever it is we go into Cork, be it Friday or Saturday or whatever, I need to buy a scale. It’s a little hard to do weight-watching stuff if you have no scale to keep track of your weight with. But I can tell from looking at myself that I’ve knocked a pound or two off since last Thursday, which is technically weigh-in day. Yay me. :)

  1. But I can tell from looking at myself that I’ve knocked a pound or two off since last Thursday, which is technically weigh-in day.

That is indeed good news! Now, will you start gaugeing your weight in “stones” or kilos or will you be a stubborn American and stick with good ol’ pounds? :-P

  2. Well, I’d like very much to weigh 10 stone, but I’m likely to stick with pounds. Kilos are confusing. :)
