Done!

PHOENIX LAW is done. PHOENIX LAW is *submitted*. It is now in the high holy hands of the editor and the agent. And I…

…I am remarkably pleased with it. It’s possible this means I’ve created a disaster beyond the ability of the human mind to conceive, but probably not. It’s also possible it’s not as good as I think it is, but fortunately, that’s not something I have to worry about right now. Right now I can just rest on my laurels and gloat over it being DONE.

For about twelve minutes. Because I have to finish the proposal for #4, but more urgently I have to do the art sheet stuff for PHOENIX, and I have to put together some discussion questions for THUNDERBIRD, the latter of which was due on the 10th and I forgot to do. The former isn’t due til Monday, so I probably won’t do it tonight.

The poll suggests I should slack off and read for the rest of April, followed closely by writing the proposal for CAULDRON BORNE. I think right now I still don’t know what I’m going to do. I was just thinking I should bring Little on the train with me, ’cause we’re going up to visit Mom & Dad this weekend, but I think I’ve thought better of that. I think I’ll read on the train. I can work on the SBX 4 proposal next week. We’ll see if the HoS edits have arrived by then, and if not, I’ll…figure out what I’m doing next then. :)

Right now I’m going to go spend a while making up interview questions for people, and then I’m going to do the THUNDERBIRD questions, and THEN I might watch some La Femme Nikita.

Ooh, but first I shall strike ‘revise PHOENIX LAW’ from my to-do list. Muahahahah!

  1. Did you know that Urban Shaman is on amazon.com from a reseller for $149.00? Yes, one HUNDRED forty-nine dollars. US dollars.

Damn… I’m never going to own one of your books…

  2. Wait, wait, we’ve been going through all this with CARDINAL RULE and you don’t even *own* URBAN SHAMAN?

Somehow I find this … something. Peculiar, anyway. :)

  3. Aww, come on, why not?? It’s a paranormal romance and everything! :p

Okay, how about just sending some of that productivity my way instead?

  4. I’m all about the peculiar. Besides, we were having so much fun…

I own Winter Moon, which I found in, of all places, a supermarket. I justified picking it up by telling myself that I was getting a Misty story and as a bonus could check out your writing. I didn’t get far into “Banshee Cries” before I decided I was learning too much about stories I hadn’t read yet and put it back into the “Need to read” pile. (It’s currently the sole occupant thereof.)

Since then, I’ve been trying (unsuccessfully) to find pretty much anything of yours. Apparently I’m not alone if your books are going for US$ 149 for a trade paperback. Your agent really should be pushing for a reprint. And a tour. Don’t forget to include stops in the Los Angeles area. (Okay, I suspect that price was probably a typo or a miscalculation, but can you blame me for trying to get my hands on one of your books for only a couple of bags of chocolate chips?!!)
