URBAN SHAMAN has officially been reprinted and is in the warehouse awaiting anybody who wants to order it. That’s my first novel, guys. It’s gone into a second printing. In trade paperback. *stupid, stupid grin* (Holy cow. About 5K copies have been reprinted, apparently. That’s pretty good!)
Perhaps in order to keep me from getting too full of myself, I seem to have lost the battle with this cold I’ve been fighting, and my nose is very full of snot. I don’t have a very big nose. I am continuously in awe of how much snot it can produce.
Boy. The cold is mucking with my brain. Can’t hold many thoughts in my head at once. (I *can* write fiction while sick. I just have to keep one thought in my head at a time for that. Maybe tomorrow I should work on SBX4.)
Ted had a physical therapy meeting today, so I went into Cork with him to indulge in some Retail Therapy (I was feeling sick and stressy, although, as I pointed out to Ted, Retail Therapy generally makes me grumpy, so he thought it was pretty funny I wanted to indulge in it). I did _very well_. I tromped around for an hour and a half going into lots of different stores and even tried some things on and didn’t get grumpy!
Unfortunately, Ted was gone for 3 hours. :) My back and feet and shoulder hurt by the time he was done, and I wasn’t so much hungry as desperate to sit down (though judging from the fact that it’s now 6 hours later and I’m not particularly hungry now either, I’d say it’s the cold affecting my appetite). I got my sorts back after I got off my feet, and we went to the English Market and to Other Realms after eating, and came home in the pouring rain. *laugh* It was raining harder than I thought, or I’d have said we should call a cab from the train station, but instead we huddled under the one rather small umbrella we had and charged up to an lar, clinging to each other and giggling. Halfway there I commented about the cab, and Ted said, “Yeah, but this was funnier.” *laugh* I married a good guy. :)
I did get hit on by a good-looking Nigerian man (I’m guessing at the Nigerian part, making that particular guess because there seem to be a great number of Nigerian immigrants here) while I was waiting for Ted. He said he’d seen me and fallen in love from a long way away. *laugh* I did not tell him that if I was single I’d let him take me to lunch. *laugh*

Yay! You’re having a great week (book wise, anyway).
Commiserations on the crud.
Does this mean my copy of Urban Shaman is no longer worth a crazy amount of money? Darn! :P
Second printing is good news, though – I’m glad people won’t have to start at the second book if they don’t want to.
Good news for me! I was only up to $5 of the $149 I thought I was going to need!! :)
Congratulations on the reprint.
Congrats on the second printing!
Glad to hear Ted is doing ok.
Hope you quickly shake that cold. Joyce
Congratulations on the reprint!!!
Looks like no one told amazon.com yet. But at least the low price from the resellers is a true bargain at only $60!!
You posted a while back regarding the release date of Thunderbird Falls vs. the actual date it would show up on shelves… just as an FYI, I put out our store’s stock of it this afternoon (beside Urban Shaman and one of our copies of Winter Moon, which have both sold well enough to still be in stock).

Cowabunga woman! Congratulations and big cheers!
ok, Pat and I have a question. Trade paperback is which one…The wide tall (9×6), or the regular paperback size (7×4)? What is the other size called??

Hey Catie,
Where can one get a reprint of Urban Shaman? Amazon doesn’t have them posted and I haven’t found one in the bookstore. Do they need to be special ordered at a bookstore? I’d like to find one for my sister’s birthday in May.

The wide tall paperbacks are trade paperbacks, yeah. The smaller ones are called mass market paperbacks. :)
Bookstores should start carrying them again soon, as Harlequin’s sales department will have notified the sellers that it’s available, but if you want to be sure to get it, I’d go to a bookstore and ask them to order it. If they tell you it’s out of print tell them you happen to know it’s just been reprinted, and be insistent. It *is* available. :)
