mid-week preview…

Ok, not really mid-week, since weigh-in day is Thursday, but I’ve been doing pretty well with the eating on points this week and I wish to make a note of the result in hopes that it will help prevent me from making cookies for the remainder of the week. Also, the Thursday weigh-in is often a little more than a mid-week one, so clinging to the positive here.

I am, ATM, down 2.5 pounds from where I was last Thursday. That’s a fair amount, although not a worrisome amount: this is really pretty much the first week I’ve been anything like back on track, and one does expect a more dramatic loss when one has really cut calories. I haven’t been suffering from the screaming hungries too much (more like the low-level grumblies), and I’ve been really pretty much on track as far as staying on points. It would probably behoove me to stop snacking after 7 or 7:30pm, because that’s when the low-level grumblies really get to me, but I think for the moment as long as I can continue to resist making cookies and gobbling them all up, I’m going to not worry about it.

I like to bake, see. It de-stresses me. I’m dealing with stupid books to edit, which stresses me, so I really, *really* want to bake. I don’t even necessarily have to eat what I bake; I just like making it. I used to deal with this by bringing goodies to the comic shop, but I don’t have anybody to bring stuff to anymore, so, well, hell, if it’s available I eat it. So I just can’t do any baking at all if I don’t want to bake it, which is very *sigh*. When I’m grumpy over doing edits, it’s harder to get through a day without making goodies than it is to eat right. Go figure.

Yeah. Speaking of which, breakfast and then work.

  1. Can you bake and perhaps donate the cookies to a local school or other children’s organization?

Yay for being down, yay for being on track!

And yeah, the low-level grumblies are what I’ve been dealing with a lot…I’m finding that *planning* to snack around 7:30-8pm has really helped me in terms of making it until bedtime.
