In another day, my ytd wordcount will move from pathetic small numbers into starting-to-be-respectable numbers. If I manage to keep this up until next Friday, as the challenge dictates, I’ll…be real surprised. :)
Must practice my DVORAK keyboarding. I’ve been actively trying to stay away from the computer when I’m not writing, because I’m spending 5-6 hours keyboarding right now to accomplish my 5K, and it is Good For Me to do *anything* else. Consequently, when I am online, I’m chatting a fair bit, and it’s harder to practice typing when I’m also trying to hold conversations. I’ll have to work it out. (Obviously spending 45 minutes practicing without logging into chat rooms would do it, but let’s not be rash, people.)
I had a little thought about getting Spanish lesson CDs and taking a CD player on walks with me. I’ve been trying to figure out when to study Spanish, but tend to get distracted by, oh, anything, and just forget to do it. But that could conceivably kill two birds with one stone. Then all I have to do is make a habit of walking to the *pool*, right? :) Anyway. :)
ytd wordcount: 18,900
miles to Dunharrow: 67
I found free Japanese lessions that I can download to my MP3 player online, so I’m sure there are Spanish ones out there. Much easier to carry than a CD player on your walks. Do a search on Spanish lesson podcasts – that’s how I found the Japanese ones.
And don’t forget double XP weekend on CoH this weekend! I so have to hit my halfway mark by saturday morning when I can finally play.

THAT’s what I’ve been meaning to blog about! Scheduling times if anybody wants to meet up to play! :)
I don’t have an MP3 player, is the problem. Not a meaningful one, anyway. Maybe I should go invest in one. :)
I think you’d like it with an MP3 player better. And think of all the music you could carry too.. I have an iRiver, and it talks to Windows Media so I don’t have to deal with iTunes/Apple. My friends in the UK ordered them from Amazon.com.
I would love to play CoH with you sometime. Just let me know what server/level…
Not only do iRivers understand WMA files, they understand ogg, which means…
um…
well, I admit that the practical implications are at the moment rather meager.
But Ogg is better! It’s free of patents and licensing restrictions! It’s open source. There are good theoretical political reasons to support it!
Um…
iRiver players are cool anyway. I got one (the 1 gig T10) for for Christmas and she absolutely loves it.
I have the 5 gig H10 and love it too. I’ll check out the Ogg too.
Left to my own devices I mostly play on Liberty, where I’ve got a 19th level tank and an 11th level bubble defender. I’ve got low-level chars on most servers, and play on Virtue a fair bit. Global chat handle is @nikki flame. :)
My primary server is Liberty. I have a 35th level scrapper and many level 10 and under there. My global is @huntress of prey.
Does writing an entire Sturgeon’s Law script that I then somehow failed to save count for me today?
I mean, aside from in regards to my blood pressure.
