yay!

! I got your books today! I didn’t realize RIVER was hardback, sheesh. I wouldn’t’ve whinged at the price had I realized it. :) Oh, and I respond very nicely to “Kit”; try it sometime and see. :)

*hops around like a dorky hoppy thing* I’m all happy now! TWO new books to read! And DISPOSSESSION looks very cool, too. Yay! *beams* I just have to do enough work today to justify getting to read tonight!

…which, thus far, I have not done. But doubleXP weekend ends in about half an hour, and then I’ll have no more excuse. :) Now I must rush off and see if I can get Petite to 34th level before the bell tolls. :)

eta: YAY THIRTY-FOURTH LEVEL and now I go for a walk while it’s not raining and then to work so thence to READ

  1. Whew! Still displeased at delay, but I’m really glad they got there. Let me know what you think, when you’ve read ’em…?

‘Kit’ is a universal goodness: even discounting Kit Marlowe (which we will not do), my bestest friend when I was little was called Kit, and so is Ian’s disabled son, who is an utter darling despite all the problems in the world. Yr username here made it seem likely that you, uh, used it – but I hate making assumptions. Next time…

  2. Thanks for the quick little witty remark over at Ursula’s LJ. What a pleasant way to start one’s Monday! :)

  3. I absolutely shall. I’m really looking forward to reading them.

*laugh* Yes, Kit is in fact one of my usernames in real life, and has been for going on fifteen years. Many people who know me from online call me Kit rather than Catie, and I’ve found myself badly disconcerted when I’ve been in a room with another Kit and discovered people weren’t talking to me when they used the name. :) (Not only disconcerted, but *offended*: apparently I’m very possessive of the name, which may have something to do with me tending to think of myself by it in the third person, which is the result of fifteen years of MUSHing. V. strange. :))

  4. I was pointed to your LJ by when I mentioned that I’d just read Urban Shaman in mine.

I’m fairly possessive of the name “Kes” and the one it’s derived from “Kestrel.” The Black Kestrel was the first character I played online, and eventually the diminutive name she went by began to be attached to me.

    I know where you’re coming from. *L*
