oh holy shit!

oh holy shit! rollover reward UNLOCKED. KS supporters will now have the chance to buy “No Dominion” in trade paperback! Holy shit!

Um! Um! Holy shit! Okay, um, I am trying to pull my thoughts together about this now! Holy *shit*! O.O Um! Okay! Some important things about this!

First: It is automatically included as a reward for anyone subscribing at $100 or more.

Second: As long as you’ve bought into the Kickstarter campaign, you’ll be eligible to buy a copy of the trade paperback.

Third: I’ll be self-publishing the trade paperback through lulu.com (or something like it), so I don’t yet know exactly what the cost is going to be.

I do know S&H will be $10, worldwide. My *guess* is that, including S&H, the trade cost will be in the region of $25. It may be as little as $20 or as much as $30, but I’m not looking to make a profit on the trades, just get enough done for everyone who’s supported the campaign to have one if they want, so it’ll be as close to cost as I can get it for you guys. But:

Third: in order to introduce a degree of sanity to trying to order the right number of books printed and getting them out to people who want them in a timely fashion, I’m going to set a pre-order deadline of April 1, 2012. If you want a print edition of the novella after that, the price will go up to $40, regardless of what the pre-order cost is. I will be willing to send books out for one calendar year after the novella is published, so up until April 15, 2013, which should give anybody sufficient time to order their copy.

Fourth: You’ll have two ways to buy the book. One is to subscribe to the campaign at $100 or more. The other will be through Paypal, and I’ll keep subscribers updated on how and when it’ll be available to pre-order.

Fifth: This also means I’ll be writing the first chapter of HEAVEN CAN WAIT, the book I’d be writing if the KS campaign reached the silly amount of $30K. So let me add that up for you: your subscription will get you one novella, up to four Walker Papers short stories, one chapter of a book that doesn’t exist, and a bunch of other goodies depending on what level you bought in at. :)

Holy *shit*, guys!

  1. Are you planning on printing & shipping each one of the books individually to the backers, or are you planning on doing a bulk printing job? If it’s the latter, Lulu is not recommended in terms of cost-effectiveness.
