THUNDERBIRD FALLS is out this month in France–as LA MAGIE DE SIOBHÁN, which I think is a pretty funny title. :) Makes me very curious as to what COYOTE will be titled. ;)

La Magie de Chien?
Chien?
Woof!
(‘chien’ is, of course, french for ‘dog’. Which is pronounced vaguely like ‘siobhán’. And a coyote is vaguely like a dog.)
Oh, of course. o.O :) *laugh* Okay. :)
A bad bilingual pune, I’m afraid.
Let me guess – Alaskan schoolgirls don’t get French inflicted on them from the age of 7?
You would be correct in that summation. :) And I took Spanish in high school, thus rendering me utterly incapable of punning in French. :)
And there I was, thinking all right minded shool children learnt French as their foreight language. Well, I never!
(I was amused when I discovered that, as a child, a colleague was given two foreign languge options, Japanese and German. She naturally went for Japanese, assuming that learning Kanji wouldn’t be a problem for her, given that her mother tongue is Mandarin.)
