I’m an aunt! Deirdre had her baby at 9:12am this morning, an 8 pound 3oz baby boy named Braic Hugh who has copper-penny red hair! What a surprise that is! Especially since Deirdre and I were bald until we were five! Well, not really, but we didn’t have much hair for a long time, and when we did it came in brown. :) Wow! Congratulations to Deirdre and Gavin! Now we have to go buy Ted some new tennies, because Chanti ate his. *sigh*

Done editing the hard copy of US. I’m done for the day, with 23 of the 30 chapters edited in the doc file. Don’t let me forget to run a spellcheck, and to do an individual word search on the word ‘led’, which I misspell as ‘lead’ with remarkable consistency (my Mom pointed this out when I was writing Angles; I had no idea).

Dear lord. The publisher asked for the rest of Urban Shaman!!!

I just took the Which SF writer are you? test (link courtesy of Teresa Neilsen Hayden) and came up either Frank Herbert or Isaac Asimov. There are worse fates. :)

Ups and downs! Big up: I /did/ email M. Brust with the log, and he was greatly entertained by it. (Garrett and Henry both said, “You *didn’t*.” But I did!) Down: Spider magazine rejected my short story. Snif. I’ll have to find somewhere else to submit it to! Hmph!
