Is it just me, or does nothing happen when you go plug numbers into the Zokutou word counter these days? Last year a World Wildlife Fund event called Earth Hour got Sydney, Australia to turn out many, if not all, of its lights for an hour at 8pm on March 31st, to “to deliver a message about the need for action on global warming.” This year, Earth Hour is going global on March 29, and invites everybody to turn off the lights for an hour at 8pm local time around…

for pity’s sake
We went and got a new case for Ted’s computer, as that appeared to be the best way to resolve the power button issue. He went up to work on it, sliced his hand open, and the power supply failed. I think the universe is telling us to stay away from computers for a while. *sigh* My desktop (the one via Myles & Sammy) is up and functional on a new surge protector and a much less-loaded socket in general, so we’ve got one desktop and one laptop online, which…

The piece can be replaced, but whether we can find a replacement remains to be seen. *headdesk* I keep forgetting to mention that I actually *have* been practicing my tin whistle! It sounds more like music if I cheat…
my life…
My life is a series of ongoing Thinks To Do lists, apparently. Though at some point here it seems like I ought to reach a tipping point and should stop needing to make them because I’ll have the bulk of the work done and it’ll just be lightness and puppies and flowers from there on out. – write 1000 words – respond to some artists – get FTP stuff set up & email the team with those details – see if K8 wants to go listen to trad music on…
