I did not understand the whole bit in the Hitchhiker books about the planet whose entire economy was based around shoe stores (at which you could not find shoes that fit) until I visited Wales. I did not understand the touted female obsession with buying shoes until I moved to Ireland. There are shoe shops all over the place. And I’m not even all that interested in shoes. mostly mileage
Mostly mileage, but I think the idea of voting for new seven wonders of the world is kinda cool. Go forth, look, tell me which ones you’d vote for. …Chichen Itza, Easter Island, the Great Wall, Machu Picchu, Petra, the Pyramids at Giza, and the Taj Mahal. I’m not strictly sure I should’ve voted for the Taj Mahal, except I think it’s possibly the most beautiful building in the world, and that’s got to count for something. Then one picture’s selected for the top level posting, letting you scroll through the main page and see a photo a day from around the world, or you can go through…
challenge update

I propose using the community to keep track of what we’re doing/milestones we’ve reached in a group environment, since it’s already set up and I’m the moderator there anyway. Official start date will be 22 January, official end date 2 February, since I’m doing this by a standard work-week and only planning to do 10 days, not 2 solid weeks. The rules, such as they are, are to set yourself a goal, be it daily or…
