My friend Stella hit the comic shop with her 6 year old son today:
Walking into Source Games, for Robin, was like walking into Paradise. A whole wall of action figures (yes, I know we grown-ups call them ‘scale models’ or ‘figurines’, but call a spade a spade, ok?) done up in Steampunkly glory. A neon SUPERMAN sign. Comic books on all the walls.
So we collect comic books first, and I pretty much grab everything non-Spiderman that says “Marvel Adventures” on it, then grab 2 copies of TAKE A CHANCE. Robin looks at me funny, so I’m explaining to him that I know the author.
“She’s the lady who used to send us fudge from Alaska at Christmas,” I tell him.
Robin eyeballs the cover with his best dubious look. “She doesn’t look like a lady who makes fudge. Where is her spatula?”
*laughs and laughs and LAUGHS* :) :) :)
OMG, that is tooo funny!!
Btw, where IS your spatula?? Inquiring minds want to know!
