My dad took up wood carving recently, and has made a variety of cool things over the past couple years. This one, however, which was my birthday present, goes way beyond cool and straight into ‘heartstabby and sniffly wonderful’:
That is possibly the best birthday present I’ve ever gotten. :) It’s sycamore, and I’m not sure I’ve properly captured how beautifully the wood gleams, and I’m not sure it’s possible to capture how very, very smooth the finish is. It’s just *beautiful*. <3
