Facebook informed me this morning that Osama bin Laden is dead. People seem happy about this. I can’t really say I’m happy–I don’t generally get a lot of delight out of people being dead–but the really cynical part of me is glad on his behalf that he’s dead and not alive to be tortured.
So if we live in a brave new world today, if you could do one thing to improve that world yourself, what would it be?
thinks to do (not to improve the brave new world, i’m afraid):
– clean the upstairs bathroom. possibly by firebombing it.
– ditto the computer room
– ever more laundry
– start Biali short story
– start ANGLES revisions
– salad shopping stupid frakking bank holidays
– email juliet, karen, laura
– wash diaper wraps
also
– clean kitchen (it never ends)
– make bread (thus necessitating cleaning the kitchen again…)
And you’re enabling two-step authentication on your gmail, right?
I can’t help but agree with you regarding him being tortured. I don’t know what I think about it really. It will probably need some fermentation time.
Also, if the Laura you need to email is me, I noticed there was an update on mine late Saturday night. I’ll take care of you either today or tomorrow. :)
