Ginger Snaps 3/4 c vegetable shortening 1 c sugar 1/4 c molasses 1 egg, slightly beaten 2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp ginger 1/2 tsp cloves 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 2 c flour Melt shortening in a large pot over a low heat. Cool a bit, then add sugar, molasses and egg. Mix well (it won’t completely mix together). Stir in spices, then add the flour and mix thoroughly. Chill in fridge until completely cold. The other day over on Twitter, Ilona Andrews said she’d bought churizo because she’d seen a recipe she wanted to try that called for it, but now she couldn’t find the recipe so what was she supposed to do with the churizo?
