I was reading Greg Rucka‘s blog yesterday and there was an entry about pursuing dreams and their fragility, and the comments discussed some things about facing reality vs pursuing dreams. If I were rich, I would be buying plane tickets to Vancouver, BC right now for next weekend, where I would go watch Jim Byrnes play Friday and Saturday night at The Yale. so far today…
So far today I have walked a couple miles, done pilates, had breakfast, taken a shower, started laundry, cleaned the kitchen, emptied the garbages,, done story corrections on the proof pages for “From Russia, with Love”, and read 2 of the 3 stories in A FANTASY MEDLEY which are not mine. It’s possible I’ve now used up all my energies, but at least it was a very productive morning. :) Next I’m going to rotate laundry, re-print the PRETENDER’S CROWN manuscript and send the corrections I’ve made to the short…
final revision pass
Off to an earlier start today. I have a whiny kitty on my lap (well, now he’s purring; he was whining earlier), and I need breakfast, but I want to get one chapter done before I eat. Mind you, this will be ‘breakfast’ at 11:15am. It’s not exactly an *early* start. Just much earlier than yesterday. But I did my pilates and went for a little walk, at least! :)

Is anybody going to the Neil Gaiman signing thing at Eason’s in Dublin on the 30th of October? I’d kind of like to go, but it’d be more fun with people. Maybe there could be a dinner before or afterward or something? She said hopefully? :) (Oh, also, totally unrelated, but no matter how many times I see this photo of the earth at night, I think it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.)
