Ok, looks like several people are interested in doing my lil writing challenge thing. I propose using the community to keep track of what we’re doing/milestones we’ve reached in a group environment, since it’s already set up and I’m the moderator there anyway. Official start date will be 22 January, official end date 2 February, since I’m doing this by a standard work-week and only planning to do 10 days, not 2 solid weeks. The rules, such as they are, are to set yourself a goal, be it daily or…

last go-round on Chance
Jimmy was perfectly understanding about me turning them down. No bad blood. I didn’t expect there to be, but it’s good to have it confirmed. He also said if I’m resubmitting to Image Central then for heaven’s sake don’t mention Shadowline (since presumably we don’t want IC feeling like sloppy seconds, even though that would really not be the situation). I have to email him about something else, and then probably tomorrow the comic will go back into the mail to Image Central, and we’ll start all over again. :)

But it cleared up this arternoon, so we walked to the store to buy milk and packing tape, so I did about four miles today despite myself. Seeepy. I even wrote a tiny bit today! 1600 words, which is a far cry from the 20 pages I was touting earlier, but hell, I wrote, which is something, at least. :) Regarding a 2-week challenge: I…
a challenge
Michele Hauf‘s just finishing up a challenge she and a friend are doing: rough draft their books in 10 days. Gail Dayton is doing a 20 pages a day for two weeks challenge. Anybody wanna join me in something similar? The next book up for me is HANDS OF CHANGE, the third and final book in the Old Races Negotiator trilogy. It’s supposed to come in around 125K, so no way am I going to do a draft in 10 days (12K a day for 10 days? I’d spend the…
