Well, my throat doesn’t hurt as much right now, but my head does. I’ll call it a win if the sore throat’s not back in the morning. Wonder if we’ve got any aspirin, though… Sort of despite myself, I did get the TQB edits done, at least on paper. Only cutting 4 or 8 pages instead of the 40 or 60 I thought I might be, but I think I pretty much need the character development in those pages, and it’s only one or two scenes at the end where…

owie.
My froat hurts. I hope I’m not coming down with Ted’s cold. I have this sort of half-formed idea that if I drink enough orange juice, the owie of drinking the orange juice will strip away the owie of the sore throat and I’ll miraculously be better. We do not, however, have that much orange juice. The last day and a half I haven’t wanted to do any work. Don’t want to edit, don’t want to respond to Chance emails, don’t want to write, just don’ wanna. This is probably…
go sarah!
Ok, that was fun. is participating in this Avon Books sponsored contest (her post about it is here), and last week made it into the top 100 and this week made it into the top 10 in the contest. So I trundled over to the site to read the top ten entries and vote. But the best bit was I didn’t know which one was hers. I narrowed it down to three out of the ten just by reading the excerpts, and I was *pretty* sure I knew which one…

Despite overwhelming odds against me, I called and found out where my Spanish class was, and actually *went* to class last night. And it was a lot of fun. :) I’m the only person in the class who’s had any Spanish, but as I can only remember present-tense conjucation of any verbs, I’m quite happy to be in there where I can study those sorts of things again. (Or, possibly more accurately, *study* for the first time…) Most of the people in the class holiday in Spain and are hoping…
Whoosh.
I got up early this morning for no discernable reason, finished up a scene, and have stitched TQB together so I could at least print it out and have a look at it. (I’m very proud of myself for cluing in relatively early in the “why isn’t this going anywhere” process and making the move to print it out before I’ve lost weeks and weeks of time trying to figure out what’s wrong.) I have 358 pages of manuscript right now, and another 35-60K (150-250 pages) to write. The reason…
