I dunno. Maybe I should give up entirely on this whole pencil drawing thing, and concentrate on drawing with pen and ink. I really enjoy it, and I seem to be kind of good at it. I just finished the first real drawing I’ve done in more than two years, a portrait of Miss Gem, one of my Maddock characters. *happy wriggle*
bfe: pork roast, mashed potatoes, peas, applesauce, milk.
She has very thoughtful eyes…
Kit! It’s beautiful! I love it! (The Miss Gem portrait.)
That’s lovely, Catie! Wow! I’m too chicken to draw directly in ink…
Drawing in ink is scary! But I think there’s sort of a weird freedom about it, too. You know if you screw up there’s nothing to be done about it, so it makes me a little more willing to take chances, I think. Maybe that’s a little fatalistic, but hey, it works. :)
Not that I’ve done much directly in ink, but it’s kinda fun. And you can fix things to a degree, and, well. It’s fun to do, anyway. *beam*
I’m glad people like the drawing! :)
