We went and got a new case for Ted’s computer, as that appeared to be the best way to resolve the power button issue. He went up to work on it, sliced his hand open, and the power supply failed.
I think the universe is telling us to stay away from computers for a while. *sigh*
My desktop (the one via Myles & Sammy) is up and functional on a new surge protector and a much less-loaded socket in general, so we’ve got one desktop and one laptop online, which is no doubt enough, but it feels weirdly unsocial to have one of us downstairs on the laptop and the other upstairs on a desktop. I mean, I don’t know why, since we’re not really interacting when we’re online anyway, but still, I guess it’s physical proximity.
Anybody want to prepare a care package for the Kit and Ted? There are strange things I can’t get here. Hair spray that I don’t hate, for example. The kind of dental floss I prefer. Other stuff. I shall repay with appropriate amounts of cash, books, fudge*, or any combination thereof.
My small triumph of the day was breaking 30K on THE PRETENDER’S CROWN.

*It may not be homemade fudge, but the Irish apparently pride themselves on their fudge. I don’t think I’ve actually eaten any of it.
email me the list and I’ll do what I can. :)
Hey, Catie, what are friends for? I can help, too. Let me know what I can help you with.
I’ll help too – especially if there’s something particularly Pacific Northwest-ish you’re missing.
