Please tell me I’m not the only one who sat there a moment trying to remember if I got that email while reading today’s Questionable Content.
Went forth to do some Christmas shopping today. Christmas shopping is much harder for/as adults. Compare, “What do you want for Christmas, Husband?/I dunno” to “What do you want for Christmas, nephew?/*laundry list of things he’s not going to get anyway, but which certainly are specific, detailed, and well-thought-out*”
I personally feel I’ve circumnavigated this particular problem by asking for the Brennan stereo for Christmas, but Ted seems to think I should get some other stuff anyway. I think my hands are clean of any difficulties therein. :) In the meantime, we’ve loaded probably 2/3rds of our albums onto the Brennan so far, and every time it spits a CD out to be replaced Young Indiana says “Uh oh!” Supercute. :)
The past two days have been all about work that isn’t writing, which was necessary but also problematic, since I have somewhere in the region of 20K to go on this book by, er, Wednesday. Or Thursday at the latest. And I suspect the book really *wants* to have about 10K more than that massaged in, but there’s no way that’s getting done in time for getting a printed copy by Christmas. Possibly I’m already too late for that, but I’m going to give it a shot. (Ah, no, I do have just enough time to hang myself, it appears. Just so long as I get it done.)

– upload photos from camera
– try to find coat pattern
– finish “Easy Pickings” revisions
– make dinner
– dishes. why are the dishes never done?
I wondered too, and decided that I must have not been paying attention that day.
