Today I spent some time looking on teh intarwebs for things like mother-baby groups (largely called “toddler groups” here, it seems) and mommy-baby yoga classes and etc etc etc. In the doing so, I found not only a relatively nearby toddler group, but also Dublin Baby, which has bloody fantastic information like there’s an art house cinema in the city centre which does semi-monthly “Babes in Arms” showings, where people are welcome to show up with their kids. The Irish Film Institute in Temple Bar also claimed to have them (fabulously named “For Crying Out Allowed”), but sadly when we went by there today they said it’d been an experiment they ran last summer and they weren’t doing it anymore. OTOH, that was the first time I’d gone into the IFI, which is really extremely wifty, and which I hope to patronize in the future.
I love Dublin. :)
